OUR NAME

If you were to tour Europe between England and France, you might have the opportunity to stand on the rocky cliffs of a body of water known as The Straits of Dover. This channel has the most ideal waters with just the right temperature for all types of fish, which is why we've proudly adopted the name to reflect our fine seafood.


OUR HISTORY

With an extensive history in hospitality management, all seven Metropulos brothers collaboratively opened the Mundelein location in 1981. Having established themselves as a premier seafood restaurant, the brothers opened their second location in Hoffman Estates in 1989. Both restaurants offer the finest selection of seafood while providing guests with a comfortable and noble dining experience.
